Frequently Asked Questions How long does it take to deliver
We aim to deliver within 5 working days of receiving your order. 90% of our customers receive their order much quicker than this, but it will depend on where in the country it is being delivered, and whether our dispatch team have been able to speak to you to book in delivery. Upon placing an order please ensure we have a daytime contact number so that we can speak to you to arrange a suitable delivery date for your purchase. Some popular items are sold in advance if current stock has sold out; for such products, our website will display dates for the next available delivery. How do I find out when my delivery will arrive
On receiving your order, a member from our dispatch team may contact you on the number on your order to arrange a suitable delivery day. If your order is being sent via Parcelforce or DPD Local, you should receive either SMS or email confirmation once your parcel has been dispatched. All orders will be delivered Monday to Fridays (excluding bank holidays), generally on a 48 hour service. During adverse weather conditions, deliveries may be disrupted. Who will deliver my item(s)
We use Parcelforce 48 hour service or DPD Local for trunks, some cabinets, and some smaller items of furniture. Depending on location and at our own discretion, some larger items will be delivered by Wovenhill staff on one of our own vehicles. Alternatively, your order may be dispatched via a courier company. To ensure the furniture does not get bumped or damaged in any way, your items may be dispatched strapped to a wooden pallet. Upon delivery the driver will only be able to manoeuvre the pallet to a suitable flat concrete surface (for example a driveway/garage etc). Parcelforce & DPD Local will require a signature in order for the parcel to be delivered. If you request for comments to be added to your delivery, please be aware that it is down to the discretion of the individual Parcelforce / DPD Local driver; unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for instances when specific instructions (e.g. please leave in porch) are not followed through by the driver. In some cases we can specify morning or afternoon deliveries, but we request our drivers and pallet companies call you an hour prior to delivery to avoid any inconvenience. Unfortunately Parcelforce & DPD Local are unable to offer this service but you will receive a card through your letterbox if you are not at home when delivery is attempted. In the event of a problem:
- If you are not at home, delivery is refused or aborted for whatever reason, for a pre arranged delivery/ collection we reserve the right to charge a second delivery charge to re-deliver your order as our FREE DELIVERY obligation only stands for the first delivery attempt. For outdoor furniture, the price, as a guide only, will be around £49.99. Smaller cabinets and baskets will be £9.99 and Extra Large Trunks and some log baskets will be £14.99.
- If you wish to change the delivery date once it is agreed then please give us at least 48 hours notice prior to delivery.
